História

Os Beatles foram uma renomada banda de rock britânica formada em Liverpool no ano de 1960. O grupo encerrou suas atividades em 1970 após uma trajetória marcada por grande sucesso comercial e influente inovação musical.

A história da banda começou em março de 1957, quando John Lennon criou um grupo de skiffle em Liverpool que passaria por várias mudanças de nome e formação. Paul McCartney e George Harrison integraram-se logo nos primeiros anos, enquanto Ringo Starr assumiu a bateria posteriormente. O conjunto construiu sua reputação tocando em boates de Liverpool e realizando residências em Hamburgo, onde enfrentaram episódios de deportação e perdas marcantes, como a morte de Stuart Sutcliffe.

Com o agenciamento de Brian Epstein e a produção musical de George Martin, o grupo assinou com a Parlophone e alcançou notoriedade no Reino Unido no final de 1962 com o lançamento do sucesso Love Me Do. A popularidade massiva da banda britânica evoluiu rapidamente para o fenômeno da Beatlemania, levando o conjunto a conquistar o mercado internacional e a liderar a Invasão Britânica nos Estados Unidos.

Ao longo de sua carreira, o grupo evoluiu artisticamente, transitando do rock and roll e do beat para experimentações com diversos gêneros musicais, resultando em discos amplamente aclamados. A banda encerrou sua trajetória em abril de 1970, deixando um legado duradouro de vendas expressivas, recordes nas paradas e múltiplas premiações na história da música.
