História

O a-ha é uma banda norueguesa de new wave e pop rock formada em Oslo no ano de 1982 pelos integrantes Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen e Paul Waaktaar. O grupo alcançou enorme sucesso internacional na década de 1980, destacando-se mundialmente com o megahit Take on Me.

O grupo norueguês a-ha surgiu em Oslo em 1982, reunindo os amigos Paul Waaktaar e Magne Furuholmen com o vocalista Morten Harket. Logo no início, os músicos mudaram-se para Londres em busca de oportunidades e conseguiram assinar um contrato com a gravadora Warner Bros. O nome da banda foi inspirado em anotações encontradas em um caderno de Paul, adaptando uma expressão comum de surpresa.

A consagração mundial veio em 1985 com o lançamento do álbum de estreia, Hunting High and Low, que alçou o trio ao estrelato internacional. O disco trouxe faixas de grande repercussão, com destaque para a música Take on Me, cujo videoclipe inovador utilizou a técnica de rotoscopia e conquistou diversos prêmios. A partir de então, o grupo emplacou vários sucessos ao longo de sua trajetória, além de realizar grandes apresentações e turnês globais.

Ao longo dos anos, a banda passou por períodos de pausas, retornos e projetos paralelos de seus integrantes, acumulando marcas expressivas em vendas de discos e singles combinados. Com uma história marcada por momentos emblemáticos, como a inesquecível passagem pelo festival Rock in Rio, o a-ha consolidou-se como um dos principais nomes da música pop rock e do new wave mundial.
