História

James Andrew Arthur é um cantor, músico e compositor britânico nascido em Middlesbrough. Ele ganhou notoriedade após vencer a nona edição do programa The X Factor no Reino Unido.

James Andrew Arthur nasceu em Middlesbrough, no Reino Unido, filho de Shirley Ashworth e Neil Arthur. Durante a infância e adolescência, ele viveu em diferentes locais, incluindo um período no Bahrein com sua mãe e seu padrasto, antes de retornar para a região de Redcar com sua família.

Antes da fama na televisão, James compôs e gravou canções de forma solo e integrou diversas bandas ao longo dos anos, como Moonlight Drive, Cue the Drama, Save Arcade, Emerald Skye e a James Arthur Band. Ele também compartilhou suas produções musicais em plataformas digitais e tentou participar de outros programas de calouros antes de alcançar o sucesso.

Em 2012, ele participou da nona temporada do The X Factor britânico, onde foi orientado por Nicole Scherzinger e acabou consagrando-se vencedor da competição. Sua trajetória no programa incluiu momentos marcantes, como a interpretação de diversas músicas nas etapas eliminatórias e nas apresentações ao vivo.
